‘Imagine if women were never oppressed,
what would our world look like today?’

My current artwork, ‘imagine’, consists of a series of sculptures of female busts with headdresses, and a backdrop of paintings. The sculptures are inspired by childhood memories of broaches and jewelry worn by ancient Celtic women, that were unearthed in bogs, where I grew up in Ireland.
My artwork is a positive response to the negativity surrounding women. This is an opportunity to view things differently and to look at ourselves in a different light to imagine what we could be…
